SSC CGL 2018 Exam Pattern


SSC

SSC CGL Tier 1 is conducted in the mid of august every year. Its mandatory for the candidate to clear the Tier 1 exam , otherwise the candidate will not be eligible to give the Tier 2 exam. The time limit to give the tier 1 exam is 60 minutes in which the candidate has to attempt 100 questions ( 25 questions in each section ). Each section is of 50 marks each that means the entire exam will be of 200 marks.

SSC CGL TIER 2 is the mains exams that is held when the candidates have given and cleared the tier 1 exam. The syllabus and exam pattern of this is quite different from tier 1 exam .

The subject asked in SSC CGL Tier 2 exam are :

  • Quantitative Aptitude

  • General English

* Quantitative Aptitude is asked in Paper 1 and General English is asked in Paper 2. Both the papers are conducted on the same day.

Note :

  1. For the posts of JSO the candidate has to give Paper 3 i.e statistics containing 100 questions ( 2 marks each ).

  2. For the posts of AAO the candidate has to give Paper 4 i.e general studies ( finance and economics ) containing 100 questions ( 2 marks each ).

SSC CGL Tier 3 is a descriptive exam in which the candidates have to write essays , letter etc. this exam is conducted to test the writing skills of the candidates in English or Hindi. Exam is conducted in offline mode and carries 100 marks for which the time given is 60 minutes

*Tier 3 is specifically for candidates applying for the post of Statistical Investigator Grade-II and Compiler
